Catedral

On the east side of the Plaza de Armas, stands the beautiful Catedral of Antigua which was inaugurated in 1680. This cathedral was the replacement of an old one. This church was the largest cathedral in Central America, as many other structures in Antigua, it was damaged by earthquakes but was rebuilt afterwards.
